Hello everyone I have a problem, and hope that some of you can answer. The StorySo I've recently bought a used Esab Migmaster 250, worked just fine at the time of purchase. Got it home and checked the voltage settings on the welder to match the 230 Volt that I have in the garage. To my surprise, the230 volt settings didn't work got nothing when powered it on. So I got to looking a little closer, it seems that it has gotten hot or someone short circuited it out at sometime. It has some new parts and some others with signs of the problem. It was wired 208 at the time of purchase and work just fine for the little time I checked it out. Anyways on with the Question ??? Being that I have 230 Volt (reading 245 across) what will it do if I use the welder wired for the 208 volt? The welder works when wired for 208 volt. Is it going to hurt the welder more, or can I use it that way? Thanks for any input.
