Anyone use Red D Arc?

Hi all, Im looking into buying a gas driven welder in the near future. The Bobcat in my sig is nice and all, but too damn big to weld with at home.I was looking into the Outbacks, 145 and 185. Stumbled across a Red D Arc ZR8, which is made by Lincoln, I guess. Being a Miller Killer at heart, this grabbed my attention. Reply:I haven't welded with one but I really like the Outback 185.  I considered it when I bought my Miller Wildcat 200 but went with the Miller instead.  I wanted the little extra generator power. Reply:The pull start doesnt bother me. I like the auto idle on the 185 though. The weldanpowers' around here are going for 1200, and look like a sack of **** that was beat by a roll of quarters... Id rather spend the extra 300 and have a shiny new machine. Reply:The farmer i worked for in idaho had one(the redi arc). I used it a lot and think it is a fine machine. I ran lots of 7018 and 6011 and a few sticks of nickel. Reply:The Red D Arc I have seen in Eastern Washington have been Miller XMT machines and engine machines. I  thought Red D Arc was a welder rental company, not an actual manufacturer so it makes sense they also have some Lincoln machines as well. I would be hesitant about buying a rental machine because of excessive use and abuse on a job site.UA Local 598
