side steps

Just starting to build steps for my 1 ton. Was going to buy them, too much money for my blood. Time to put the bender and notcher to work. 1 1/4 .095 wall tubing. g Attached Images

Reply:Nice!I've got a F350 as well and mine were all rusted to he**, so I cut them off.   I'll be following this thread with interest, and I may pm you with some questions. Reply:woodiron- got both from pro tools.com. american made good quality stuff. I think it will do 3" never tried. probably depends alot on your wall thickness too. be tough on 1/2" drill I would say. Buy a bigger drill and hold on dellwas-pm anytime I'll get more pics  of the brackets and stuff as i go. Mine had alumiunum running boards that were bent all to he** they came off immediatly. thanks g

Reply:more progress, got the plate on and tacked. finish welding it out tomorrow. broke out the 6013 ran couple beads, what do you guys think? Attached Images
