First I had a cylinder to break down this morning, but took a special wrench I didn't have. That' not unusual, so Time to make a wrench.  Star with some Scrap steel ofcourse.  No need to waste good steel on a wrench I probably won't use but once. Then weld up a handle, and add some 3/8" cold roll. And now we have a wrench.    I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:one job down so on to the next one........Well New Irrigation pump was installed, and needs to be hooked back up to the existing pipe.  OK  You guys know I'm not a pipe guy so go easy on me here.   the only code I have to meet is that it doesn't leak. This is the old connection.  Seems the hose just won't hold the 180psi.  It keeps blowing off and wetting the guy.  So time to start cutting...Now I have to weld the elbow back to the existing pipe.  Ran 6010 roots, and capped with 3/32" 7018I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:Welding up the flanges and reducers to connect the cutoff to the check valve.  these were clean steel so I ran 6013 inside and out. Then cut a section of 6" OD galvanized, and slide into place.  I hate this stuff, but it's what the irrigation dealers gives me, so I use it.Now connected to the pump.a couple pics of the 6G.  It was only about 8 inches off the ground, but not to bad for someone who doesn't do a lot of pipe welding.  I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:And finished.  pressure checked with no leaks. I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
