I have an old Peer spot welder that we have zero information about. It is a 230 volt,15KVAmodel 92. It has two dials on the side, one for current and the other is a trip dial and they are both graduated 1-5. What is the trip dial and what do the numbers represent as in a 1 settingon the current = how many amps?
Reply:I think spot welds are generally timed, possibly 1-5 seconds for the trip dial??as far as the current dial. try measuring the weld current, I would start at a VERY low setting on the dial and a very HIGH setting on your meter as in several HUNDRED amps full scale!fred-- fredLincoln 180C MIG |
