So I have a bunch of projects that I would like to start but I lack the material I need.Is anyone else in the Southeast Corner of NH, or the North Shore of MA that can recommend a good place to purchase material.I don't need a lot, but the local home improvement store have a very limited selection, and there prices seam high. I use to live near Brockton MA and there was a big metal supply place that would let hobbyist like my self purchase some cheap, small (relative term) cut offs. my next two projects is a Welding table and a welding cart to give you an idea of the materials I am looking for. I am thinking some square tubing (1.5" by maybe 0.1875" thk) and then a work surface (2ftx3ft x 0.25") and maybe some expanded metal to make some lower shelves Thanks in AdvanceLincoln SP-200
Reply:I'm in Nashua.I usually deal with Mill metals in Manchester for smaller quantities of "new" stock. 603-626-7351For a misc small piece I'll usually head down to Scrap Inc. down the road from me 603-396-6282 You'll probably have to look through the yard there though.Hope it helps.Buy American, or don't whine when you end up on the bread line. |
