A few months back I bought a plasma cutter made in Mexico at a yard sale for the torch it had a 20' Ice27c on it. I needed it for a miller 375. Well today I striped the thing for the parts and here are a few pictures of what I found on the inside Attached Imageswww.georgesplasmacuttershop.comPlasma Cutter and Welder Sales and Repairs--Ebay storeTec.Mo. Reply:Some where, in Mexico, there is a guy that just opened up his same machine, and is complaining to his buddies about the "Made in the USA" parts!Any of the guts fit your Miller?200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.
Reply:Thats sad that parts that were made here in the U.S. have been disgused under a cover made in mexico.Maybe NAFTA wasnt a great idea.

Reply:What you are seeing is somebody chose the componets that gave them the biggest bang for the buck, or was it the Peso? We should be proud that the manusfacturer chose USA componets over Chinese. If you are at all concerned about the state of the economy, applaud anyone who buys our exports. The fact that the componets were made here means an American had a job making them. It would have been nice to have sold and shipped a whole Plasma Cutter to Mexico, but selling the Mexicans the good American parts to buid a Plasma Cutter has to be a close second. |
