Cleaning the Glass on the helmet

I just bought a helmet from Harbor freight ($49) and wondering what should I use to clean the glass in the front and the back.Thanks, Wilson
Reply:1st be sure to use cover lenses. If you Fup the AD lens you are screwed. I try to keep a clean soft cloth or two in my bag for only cleaning the lenses and keep them in a ziplock bag so they stay clean. Paper towels will usually scratch the cover lenses. 1st I'll rinse off as much dust etc so I'm not grinding that in. Then usually some windex or saop and water and the cloth to clean the surface. It kills me to see the kids at the tech school using the brown paper towels on the lenses and then they can't figure out why they can't see well with all the scratches that suddenly appear. Note that cover lenses are "disposable" At some point just expect to toss them and get a new one..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:I use luke warm soapy water on my Harbor Freight lens. I try to not scratch it.
Reply:I use soft cloth on the filter lens, with a bit of eyeglass lens cleaner. I use the old small flat lenses, so cover lenses are cheap, chuck em and put in new.kilroy was here
