This is less of a welding question and more of a material one. I have asked people, and called numerous suppliers looking for mild steel reducing 90* weld els and cant find them, I've seen people using them but cant find them anywhere in the size that I need.. A little info about what is in the planning stages: Log type turbo manifold for a 2.3L Ford OHC engine.. I need 2 1.25"-1.5" or 2.0" 90s, and 2 tees of the same sizes (1.5"-2.0" run, and 1.25" outlet). The reason for the 1.25" is that the header flange bolt holes are so close to the ports I dont wanna run 1.5" to them and have to notch them out and weld in 3/8" or 5/16" tubing for the bolts to go through, I'd rather be able to snug the bolts down to the header flange. Every supplier I've called said they can only get them in SS, inconel, or other "hybrid" metals and itll be prohibitively expensive. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!Nate SandersLast edited by slowstang88; 02-06-2011 at 09:33 PM.Reason: mis spelling
Reply:Try McJunkin-Redman. They are an excellent distributor of pipe and fittings. My local rep is Stacy (502)-449-1660 or you can PM me for her email. Very reasonable prices and they'll ship anywhere.
