Any one on here doing the welding on the Goldwing frames. I am doing and just wondered what yall may have run into.

Reply:There are two factory welds that are defective and can crack. The welds are on the bottom of the frame by the shock mount bracket. Don't hold me to this number but I think there are around 40,000 bikes recalled. $$$
Reply:To the date I have done four of the Goldwings. Not to bad of a job. Pays like 3.5 hrs prep and weld time. I can easily do two a day. The local dealership says it takes 6.0 hrs to disassemble. They really arent interested in doing it because they lose money on everyone (so they say). Later Shane
Reply:I have done about 30 to date. Our dealer wants all they can get thier hands on as so do I. They say they are making good money off of them. I also like them coming in. Give me all you got. Reply:Its a Lincoln Squarewave tig 300. Its a 400 amp machine. I also have a Lincoln 175 pro. Im looking to purchase an inverter type welder. The one that strikes my fancy is the Dynasty 300 Miller with the tig runner. I just finished another bike today. Later Shane
