Reply:Looks like you are still alive and off to a good start. When's dinner?  Favorite right now is a Miller Syncro 200.Tons of tools and I blame at least one of them when things don't go right.
Reply:I don't see no smoker yet...Good thing you didn't turn into the main course! ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:will you have that ready buy duck season ? looks fun350P 30A spool gun cut master 51  syncro 250 other stuff " take a dog off the street and make him prosper and he will not bite you sad the same cannot be said for man" i didnt use punctuation just to piss you off
Reply:wheres the fire go???
Reply:i am in the process of finding some 1/4" plate to make the fire box out of.  it will be off set.  the propane tank will sit long ways.
Reply:How did you or how are you going to clean out the tank before you use it?
Reply:well its pretty much clean know,  but what i did when i got it home was filled it up with dish soap and water 2 times letting it soak a while each time then the last time i filled it up agian and cut it full of water.  i will probally presure wash it and when its done you season it by building a big fire in it and keeping it at around 300 350 degrees for about 4 hours and then shes ready to cook.
Reply:i found some 1/4" plate 120x60.5 for $110.  that will make a nice fire box and the tunning plates and what ever else i may need.

Reply:I love the pictures of you cutting with your safety glasses sitting on top of your head.  It's like guys on those hot-rod shows laying on their back under a car, beating on the exhaust with a hammer to loosen the rust, and squinting to keep the dirt out.Learn to see every aspect of your future projects through safety glasses.
Reply:i did put them on when i was cutting with the cutting wheel.  nothing really flying around with the sazall.
Reply:Always wear your safety glasses...always! Murphy doesn't just pay attention to stuff flying around, something can break, crack, shear, spin or simply GET in your eye. Believe me when I say once you've had something in your eye, you'll never part ways with your glasses again. I wear mine during breaks, lunches, etc.  John -  fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!-  bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:i normally were them all the time, i was just concentrating on cutting that BOMB the right way.  thanks for the concern.  its guys like you all that help keep the rest of us safe.

Reply:well i am going to pic up the peice of steel plate tommorrow.  looks like i will spend all weekend trying to cut it up with the cut off wheel, saws all, and jig saw.
Reply:here are some updated pics.  i was able to get the firebox cut with the saws all, cut-off wheel, and jig saw yesterday.  then today i welded the firebox together, cut the hole in the propane tank for the firebox, and got a good tan all in one day.  tommorrow i will cut the hole for the smoke inlet in the firebox,  then weld it to the tank,  then cut the door in the firebox and hopefully get the air intake in the firebox door.
Reply:I like the tool box legs Me!
Reply:thats my welding table and welder storage all in one.
Reply:Are you going to cut the valve guard off and remove the fill & valve?Me!
Reply:when i get done the tank will be smooth all over.  the only reason they are still on there is to make it easier to move it around.
Reply:Kinda looks cool with the guards still on it.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.stick a temp gage in!Me!

Reply:What size propane tank is that??  It looks to be a decent size unit not too long like a lot of the ones you see providing gas for houses.  MichaelMillermatic 25115" Rockwell Drill Press10" Logan Lathe5hp - 2-stage 80 Gallon CompressorHome Made Sand / Soda Blaster

Reply:What did you stuff the jalapenos' with?  And how did they turn out?  I need some specs on that one since I have never tried that one before.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:Damn you made me hungry.Good job on the smoker. And the final product looks pretty good too.mm135HTP Invertig 201 With water cooler9" Southbend LatheLots of hand tools.
Reply:Do yourself a favour, grab your angle grinder and radius the corners on those hinges and front handle brackets before someone gets their hands sliced up. A flex disc would eliminate a lot of that weld spatter too
Reply:hickory230-250butt temp cook to 190 ribs did a 2-1.5-1.5 method on themjalopenos split take out seeds and membrane stuff with cream chease or any cheese u like putt little smokey sausage in and wrap in bacon cook at 230-250 about 2 hrs.
Reply:the hinges and stuff i plan on rounding the corners and hoping the sandblasting will take care of some of the spatter other wise i will hit it with a chisle.
Reply:Nice job...like everybody else on here, you've got my mouth watering as well. I like your idea for the door...running the flatbar around the perimeter. That method is commonly used in industry for fabbing a flush-filled door.
Reply:Here's you an idea for some jalapeno's.  Cut out the seed and membrane, put in a decent sized shrimp in the pepper, wrap in bacon, sprinkle a little tony's on it.  Keep brushing with a mix of tony's and melted butter while it cooks.  Make you want to slap yo momma.
Reply:The pictures of your leg bring back a memory of mine. I traded a guy my old Lincoln tombstone AC225 welder for a TV. The tv didn't work when I got it and I lost out. But the guy used the welder all day in a pair of shorts. He was one of my employees. He came to work the next day hobbling. I asked him what was wrong. he dropped his pants and it was LOBSTERVILLE. Holy crimony! He was in so much pain. I warned him, so it was his own fault. I really didn't feel bad for  him since he screwed me on the deal with a bad tv.Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v  Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain

Reply:Great job....We call those jalepenos Alligator eggs in Texas.  Split em, pull out the seeds but leave the pitch ( for heat) fill with cream cheese, wrap in bacon and bake at 325 deg for 45 minutes.Hmmmm...  Now if only someone would invent the scratch-n-sniff monitor then we could really understand what you got there.MichaelMillermatic 25115" Rockwell Drill Press10" Logan Lathe5hp - 2-stage 80 Gallon CompressorHome Made Sand / Soda Blaster
