Here is a photo of the big wheel I made.  I got a couple of the ideas for it from this forum.  The seat itself was discovered right from the projects section. The seat is adjustable so it can accomodate riders from 6'6" to 5'4".No closeups of my welds or dimes... just a pic of the final product.  The thing is stupid fun to ride. The welds are done with my 110v mig.Well I've been learning a lot from reading the posts here, and thought it was time to share a project of mine with you. Thanks for lookingShaft Attached Images
Reply:cool little deal. But I must say the biggest memory of big wheelin as a kid was the plastic wheels spinnin on concrete and you could do some power slides which was fun. Looks like this one will stick to the pavement
Reply:6'6" to 5'4", D@mn you've got BIG kids! What are you going to do when they get out of elementary school, sell them to the circus?  Looks great. Thanks for sharing the project with us.
Reply:Put some plastic wheels on the back, so you can kick out the rear every now and then.

Reply:I have plans for the trailer that I drew up.  But then decided not to spend the dough on the steel.Thinking of going to build a version of a green machine next.
Reply:That's cool! Those back tires look like they would have too much rolling resistance though. I bet you could really get going if it had some small bike tires back there. Good work!Lincoln AC/DC 225/125 Stick Linde HDA-300 MillerMatic DVI MIG Miller Dynasty 200DX Hypertherm Powermax 1000
Reply:now that is cool.
Reply:I was just thinking about my previous post. If you put bike tires in the back then it wouldn't be a "big wheel" anymore unless you went with a 26" tire in the front. Then again I don't think you would want to go very fast in that thing because the pedals would be going faster than your legs could move.Lincoln AC/DC 225/125 Stick Linde HDA-300 MillerMatic DVI MIG Miller Dynasty 200DX Hypertherm Powermax 1000
Reply:Where's the playing card clothes-pinned between the spokes?  We always did that as kids.  Nice job!!!I r 2 a perfessional
Reply:Now I want one.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Great job, I have been thinking about making something like this for a long time, I am curious how you set up the pedals on the front wheel.                                                                                    Derik
Reply:Shaft - Would you mind posting some of the details on the front wheel?  I've been working on something similar but the front wheel has been the sticking point. It looks like you did a great job solving that issue.Thanks.
