At long last I got the time to finish up one of MY projects.  Here is my BBQ trailer just in time for the summer parties.  It's got a stainless grille and rottisserie, dual keg holders in the tongue and a removable stainless bench that mounts off the back once it's parked.  I'll try to post some more pics if folks want.  Thanks!Ryan

Reply:Are those counter weights on the lids? I like the idea of having it open to the back. Nice.
Reply:Welcome to the forum.Very nice looking grill. Where did you get the gears? Looks like you put a lot of time and effort into planning and building that grill. I'd love to see some more picts of it, especially some of the details.
Reply:That is awesome ff!What would you estimate the total build cost was if you dont mind me asking?

Reply:Thanks for the warm welcome!  This baby started out its life as a piece of 24" diameter 3/8 wall pipe my dad picked up from a steam plant he worked at back in the early 90's.  A couple of 6' chunks of this layed around until I decided to do something with it.  Yes those ring gears are counterweights one is from an 8" ford the other a rear driver Eaton.  The ford I had and the Eaton was a gift from the local gear builder from his scrap pile.  Before I started this I researched a bunch of different designs and I was never really fond of the bbq's that had the barrel mounted parallel with the frame rails, seemed like the fenders would always be in your way.  Good eye on the con rod handles those are from the infamous small block chevy, I kind of wanted a gearhead theme. I had the barrel, axle, and truck box.  I figure I've got about $1000 into it as she sits, thats w/o labor of course.  Thanks for the kind words, here's some more pics of the bbqThe Keg wellWork table installedRottisserie rod goes down the left framerail, you can see the milled flats for the set screws to engageLower draft 1 of 4, looks like I was running a little cold on some of my MIG welds, or just impatient lolCon rod handle this is the motor and how it is attached.  The torque makes it ride against the tab welded on the slider.  This way not everything had to be perfectly concentric it allows for "wiggle" room if you willThe grill, originally one big grill but after it's first use it was deemed necessary to be able to remove part to add or remove charcoal.  So I wacked it up, made it into two pieces and devised this support (see below)Exhaust cope and door stopOne of my TIGs, please critique away
