I have a Traconic 412 mig welder.  It is broke and the welding supply shop has never seen one.  I don't have any manuals and there is no information inside the machine.  Has anyone out there ever heard of them?
Reply:Post a photo ?
Reply:It's at the shop, sorry.  Good idea.
Reply:It's a green sided, medium to large box, 110v, maybe made in the early 80's.  It has one contactor hub and one circuit board in it, along with a lot of other big electrical equipment.  We've only been welding for a year, so not a lot of experience with them here.
Reply:There are some forum members here that may be able to help you. Good luck on your project. This is the very reason I always recommend that people buy major brands, and at a welding supply store. Not at a Big box store or Harbor freight.Miller or Lincoln if possible.AWS certified welding inspectorAWS certified welder
Reply:See if you can see a country of manufacture on the thing.A photo of the data plate would be helpful too.If it does date back to the 80s, it may be a Cebora .Most of the import machines back then were made in Italy. An 80s machine should be relatively easy to fix, as long as they didn't try to be cutting edge, with obscure control components.
