looking to get a stick

i have gotten a mm175 and want to keep up on all my stick welding skills..vertical up...overheadeverythingi was looking at the lincoln 225ac at HD and was wondering if i need DC for overheadif so does anyone know of a stick welder...AC/DC thats good condition in eastern NJ for under $200?thanx
Reply:No, you don't need DC for overhead.  6011 works well for overhead welding and is an AC rod.  There is also a 7018 rod specially designed for AC, ESAB makes it, that would also work for overhead.

Reply:You should be able to find an ac225 for around $100 if you're patient.  Check craigslist.com for local folks so you will not have to pay for shipping.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
