my oldest grand daughter is learning music so I made her this sheet music stand it folds up and the height can be set to suit as she gets older I nearly lost it as they live 2000km's from us and when I went up there a few weeks back the guy at checkin at the airport wanted to nick it now she wants me to make a matching stand for her organ thats sitting on top of her toy box Creative metal Creative metal Facebook

Reply:Cute kid.  She about 9 years old or so?Not so good picture.  The image compression (or raw image) blurred the stand scrolls badly.  And the flash shadow behind the bars further buggers the picture.But I think the stand is nice.  You really like doing those scrolls, eh?Do you have any better pictures of the stand?  A little bit closer, a side view, a picture or two of the height adjustment scheme, close-ups of the welds, that sort of thing.We love pictures.  But you knew that.Bloke tried to nick it, eh?  You report the attempted theft to the authorities?And that's a keyboard, or electronic keyboard, that she has.  It's not an organ.Take some pictures of the building of the keyboard stand when you do that and post them.And only three hours to gather the materials and tools, do the scrolls, bend the frame, prep the steel, align everything, weld it, grind/brush it after welding, clean it, and paint it?  Man, you were cruising along nicely on that project!(Let's see, it usually takes me about 1/2 hour to gather the tools, at which point the wife or kids usually have some question about something else that I have to go look at or take care of, then come back to what I was trying to do and re-gather my thoughts, then the phone rings, etc, etc ...)
