fixing a Kenworth

Kenworth Australia have a model called 904 over here didn't see it on the US site so it may only be an aussie model any way they made a design  f*uckup on the dash and roof support braces this is the 4th one we have done in 12 months on of the problems this cause's is they are popping windsrceens out and the cabs start cracking up they fixed it on the new model's this one is 18 mth's old to fix the problem you have to pull the whole dash out here are some pic's of the cracks and fixes the door jam was a pain because one side had to be welded with the door still on had to reach out the window of the door to feed the filler the truck what the inside looks like after pulling down to get parts outdoor jam crack the fix on door jamCreative metal Creative metal Facebook

Reply:Looks like what in the US W900 with an Areo-Cab sleeper.  Nice rigs.  I drove one once when my usual tractor was in the shop. They are heavy.  13 speed gearbox in the one I was driving. 85 mph and still pulling.  Way to fast in an 80,000 lb vehicle. The funny thing about trucks is everyone like side stack which block your view when backing up.Nice work by the way.  I don't envy truck mechanics.  I had to have a return fuel line fixed one time and the poor mechanic had to lay on his back on the turbo to reach it.  Then they wouldn't let me leave because the shop was aurguing with the boss over who should pay.  I was kinda pissed because either Kenworth or Catapiller was going to pay and not me.Lincoln  225 AC/DCMiller Maxstar 150C&H gasless MIGVictor Supper range IIMiller Elite Big Window7 X 10 mini lathe

Reply:Zap the bullbar pivot point is at the bottom of the 5/8 plate thats is bolted to the  front of the chassis it pivots on 4 3/4 grade 8 bolts Creative metal Creative metal Facebook
