I kinda new to tig did it about 25 years ago in HS. I have a new used Miller SD180. The question is what size tungsten, cup and what type to use? I will be welding AL SS MS in 1/8" max. I thank you guys in advance!
Reply:I would use a as lens and a 3/32 collet. A #5 cup would be good for general purpose work and not knowing exactly what aluminum your are wanting to weld. This is a good starting point and will work great for stainless as well. For mild steel, you could use this set up or just use a regular collet body and cup. |
