2" thin wall 5G pic

Hey this is my first time posting a pic and i have been an reader of this website for some time now and i know you guys like pics. I am a student and Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. I am in the Combination Structural and Pipe Welding Program. It's a 9 month course and i have 2 weeks left and aftering graduation i have been accepted into the Pipefitters Union 162 out of Dayton,OH. This is a pic i did maybe 1 week ago..It is 2" thin wall pipe 5G position 1/8" root opening tig all the way out using "walking the cup" technique. Let me know your honest opinions Attached Images

Reply:Thank you for the comments...No it doesn't have to pass x-ray but has to pass a guided bend test. The only x-ray test that we have to pass is Titanium butt joint that conforms to and Aerospace code D1.7(not real sure on the code can't remember)
Reply:how do you like the school i've been welding for a liveing for 15 years and i was think about going there and maybe learn something i dont know how to do? or at least get a welding Deg to add to my resChuckASME Pressure Vessel welder
Reply:Before I went to school there i've never welded and i've learned more in 9 months then I did in high school. I love it! I wake up everyday wanting to go to school to learn more. They are up to date with the new technology such as metal core which is the newest addition. They have a website it is www.welding.org . Some of the classes aren't the easiest and i'd say about three quarters of the people that you start with will graduate with u. If your looking for job opportunites they have a staff personal there dedicated to just helping students with that aspect. Check the website out, I highly recommend it...If you have any more questions feel free to ask and i will do my best to answer them!

Reply:Yes you can but i think it's like 70 bucks(which your just paying for materials) and it has to be 2 weeks before your scheduled to take the class..mostly all the test u take are guided bend tests..and some are just visuals but those are only for tig..
