Reply:Go to Lincoln Electric's website and you can read about all the technology. You can probably do the same at Millers website as well. The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
Reply:phwelder,Aussie Welder has it absolutely right.I had a college professor that used to tease us by telling us we were going to go to our first job and say “I are Engineer” (intentionally poor English).  He’s point was that we needed to listen to the machinist, drafters, mechanics, etc. that were there working with the product, whatever the product was, for years before we showed up.  He was right.  I learned as much in the first few years on the job as I did from college. There’s an old American saying that goes “Those who can’t do, teach.”  I’d like to replace that with “Those that do it every day are the best teachers”.Good luck on your life journey.Roger
