I am looking for some mild steel disks 1" - 6" in diameter. Does anyone know of a supplier that sells anything like this. I discovered King Metals the other day and they have some great stuff but nothing like a plain steel disk. Any ideas?
Reply:From the tone of your post I am assuming you do not do a whole lot of metal work. Normally I would use my O/A torch or Plasma cutter to cut the appropriate size of disk out of whatever thickness of metal I needed. One question I would have is do they have to be flat? Or can they be dished? If they can be dished you may try old tractor shops they may have some old discs laying around that you can purchase. However these would exceed the 6" diameter you are looking for.Jay DavisAWS-CWIC-60 Specialty Welding ContractorLoving husband, and father of two boys (

Reply:That is great information..but I hate it when every price you want to know has to be asked of the company... instead of looking at the website to see it...Weldandpower Lincoln 225 AC,DC with Briggs 16hp gas engine.WW2 era Miller TIG.

Reply:Wagner is one of the biggest suppliers in the country- they SELL to places like King.So they arent really trying for the onsies and twosies market. In fact, for a long time they wouldnt sell direct at all, you had to find a dealer, so its kind of great you can now order direct at all.The prices are there, you just didnt look hard enough-https://www.shopwagner.com/nxc/NXCSC...78100055F0DC&&they make, and sell a lot of stuff, and are a very handy website to bookmark.
