There is guy local selling a Synchrowave 250 and a Millermatic 250. He wants $1500 for each, is that a good price?
Reply:$1500 for the syncrowave is a decent deal..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:I agree that the Syncrowave 250 at $1500 is a good deal, if it is in decent shape and comes with torch, regulator, etc. A very good deal if includes a cooler. The Millermatic 250 for $1500 is not a very good deal. I have seen brand new 252 units for $2100 on sale at my LWS, presumably cheaper on line. Not sure how old the 250 might be, but that is several models older than the current 252.Obviously condition affects price.RichardSculptures in copper and other metalshttp://www.fergusonsculpture.comSyncrowave 200 Millermatic 211Readywelder spoolgunHypertherm 600 plasma cutterThermal Arc GMS300 Victor OA torchHomemade Blacksmith propane forge
Reply:Thanks guys. The Sync comes with the torch and regulator, but no cooler. I have a cooler on my HTP 201, i'm not sure if i can adapt it to the Sync as it has a power plug that plugs into the back of the HTP. I thought the MM price was high, I was leaning towards a Hobart Ironman 230 with the spool gun. Northern has it for $1800 including tax. |
