Tacoma spindles

All I have at my house right know is 308 filler rod do think it will work. I usally use Super Missile rod @ work which pretty much is 309I'm making drop spindle for my truck..Strive For Perfection

Reply:It should work ok.  Stick,tig or migSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases.  There all here. :

Reply:Spindles should be forged.  So they are good steel. David.Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:I would like to weld then machine  a ring to my forged steel stubaxles to allow for a bigger cv joint on my off road car. I am planning on  a  3'8" thick mild steel ring 3/4" wide. I am planning on a slow cool down. What would you use for rod/wire?Some things can't be carried in a tool bucket.
