I have decided it is time to take my Lincoln square wave TIG off the furniture dolly and the Weldpak 175 MIG off the floor and build a proper welding cart. I am planning on simply placing the MIG welder on top of the TIG welder so that is easy. I also plan on supporting two shielding bottles behind the welder. I figure I also need some sort of cord storage plus a place to put the pedal. I am thinking about building it like a cage, so I can put a shelf above the MIG welder, does that make sense? Any pointers or gotchas? Chris
Reply:i would say provide independent shelf for each machine rather than stackem. if you wanna move one you can, and who knows if the bottom machine has enough supprt for the other one?

Reply:Here's one of my welding carts that holds two welders. And the cord arms for lack of a better term. It's kinda hard to tell that the back of it will hold two mid sized bottles of gas. I could take better pics if your interested? Reply:chris just an alternate suggestion,my cart is posted on page 2 of this forum-it holds an inverter stick/tig machine and a small mig on one shelf, an argon tank which will serve both welders, a seperate shelf for hand tools ,and stores all my cables tig torch and foot pedal. self contained just needs engine drive train and steering..
Reply:Alright, the cart is done. I am happy with how it came out, holds everything I want it to. I am still learning fabrication techniques and need to measure more carefully, the cart really isn't long enough with the bottles behind it.Chris
