Hey guys, I'm not a advid poster on here, I mostly just use the search button alot. I have started on a back seat for our golf cart. I couldnt justify spending the money the vendors want for thier back seat's when I can try to use these hands of mine. First Off, I'm still a newb at this even though I have owned this machine for 8years and doing projects off and on. The past year I have used it alot around the garage building projects and practicing. Here are some shots of it so far.
Reply:Looks like you're off to a great start. Are you going to do the upholstery work, too?http://all-a-cart.comWelding Cart Kits and accessories
Reply:Looks good. If they drive like some I've seen, some side handles might be a good idea on semi-rough terain. As you face backwards you can't see the bumps coming until its too late.
Reply:Look like a very good job to me, I am doing some modifacations to my old Yamaha G1 gas cart myself and am going to be building some seats for it.  Keep up the good work and have a good one.
Reply:Looks good. The side rails are definitely a good idea"Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine." Nikola Tesla
Reply:Thanks guys, I have planned on some side handles for the seat also. My local supplier has been out of 1" box 16ga for about 2 weeks now. I have a HF compact bender to bend the box with. I know it will crease the metal but on factory built seats they are creased also. I built the foot rest this past weekend to bolt to the cart, I havent uploaded the pics right yet or finished with covering the foot rest with Dp or find a metal dp for it to weld to it. I will try and post some more pics in the following days. Hey Calvinjeep89, Here is a good forum for golfcarts www.buggiesgonewild.com I'm "carolinasled" over there.
Reply:Here is some shots of the foot rest frame and frame outer supports. Still just taking my time.
Reply:I havent worked on it much but here and there. Here is some new shots.
Reply:Here is the final shots, I've forgot to post the rest of the pics but here they are.     While I was finishing the back seat I ran across a deal on some 25" ITP's on SS wheels, So I decided to save some money and make aswell.                                                   Re-did the steering to a drag link setup which gave me easier turning.Last edited by fenters; 10-28-2008 at 10:01 PM.
Reply:Sorry for the overly large images.
Reply:By the looks of those tires this might be the first off road golf machineIt's really neat how you bent the angle iron to form the seat frame.  It adds a finished look.  Definitely not shadetree stuff. So, where's the beer cooler carrier?"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
