Pipe Beveling Tool

Well, after 2 days of putting a bevel on 1.5" sch40 ss by hand, I am looking for a tool to do this and make my life easier. After cleaning and beveling about 20 side of pipe, I was having trouble welding. My hand torch hand was shaking all over the place. I was using a hand grinder with a sanding flaper disc wheel. Reply:There's a set of beveling dies made for pipe threading machines that can be purchased.
Reply:JTMcC is selling a pipe beveling tool ($1100 if you want one of those good ones) along with some other stuff.  His ad just hit the Hobart and Miller boards this morning.
Reply:Along similar lines; is there a chamfering and deburring tool just for quick clean up of cuts on tube?  Something to chuck up in a hand drill and not requiring a lathe?Thanks,Clay
Reply:I guess the belt sander sounds like the most effective cheap route to go for me. I just dont have 1k to drop on a pipe beveler. I'm only looking to do 2" OD piping.Justin
Reply:take a look at lowbucktools.com they should have one there for cheaper.  I thinks its done manually but it works, I hear good things about their products

Reply:if you go the beltsander route WEAR GLOVES WHILE SANDING!!..the belt car grab the piece if your not holding on good and twist it in your grip.. and then its drip..blood that is.. tubing can be razor sharp inside sometimes..been there done that ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I've always used a hand grinder to put a bevel on pipe. Use the leading edge to take the bulk down to what you want (typically 37.5 Deg.) then use the flat part of the grinding wheel to smooth out the bevel. Then the flat of the grinding wheel puts the land on you prefer. What type of root pass are you using, open butt, consumable insert or what?
