TIG torches - Dynasty 200DX

I'm plunking down the $$ today for the Dynasty 200DX and was wondering about the contractors kit for that unit.Can anyone offer up a review of the torches included with Millers kits? Are there better torches out there? Better values? I'm getting a price of $570 for the kit with HD foot pedal.Thanks!

Reply:SSC Controls make Miller-compatible foot pedals. Buy them from their eBay Express Store and they're $149+shipping. SSC is the OEM for Lincoln and Thermal Arc pedals, IIRC. I've used both the Lincoln and Miller versions of their pedal and been impressed!It would seem to me that you could put together the equivalent of the Miller contractors kit for quite a bit less than $570...
Reply:besides saving a few $$ you can also get a flow meeter insted of a flow gage. many prefer the meeter over the gage. the ssc is a great controle no ?? about it. if you have the time to put the kit togather your self then do so if you need it ready to go right now get the contractors kit. the kit is fine just a lil expensive. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
