How much wire do you use?

Got to thinking about it today and realized that I use between 15-20 lbs of 1/16th wire a day. Just wanted to know what most people use a day.I am tired of Ketchup, I want the Gravy...

Reply:All steel, welds vary from 1/4 to 1"1/2 fillet welds.  We use Triple 7 1/16th  wire.I am tired of Ketchup, I want the Gravy...

Reply:1000 LB A DAY  1/16 UltraCore 71 C  &  LA-75 / 860 Flux  some LA-85/Mil800-H on HPS-70 work , EXcalibur 8018-C-3 for stick takes a lot to filling TC-U4 joints at 52.17 lbs a lf for 4" welds. all for the World Trade Center Hub   John
Reply:I used 2 rolls of.045 Triple 7 redoing a trailer, plus 1/2 a tin of 7018 on the same job. It all depends on what  I am doing, some days I don't even start the welding machine, it is a demo torch job.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:Pavin, I do not want to know what welder you use.  My boss might want us to get it.  My 456P could not handle over 100 lbs an hour.  Nor could I......LOLTozzi how's the Triple 7 .045 wire.  We only use 777 on the 1/16th welders.I am tired of Ketchup, I want the Gravy...

Reply:Its what 12 welders use , DC-600 , DC-1000 & TM-500 power supplies LN-8 , LN-9 feeders, LT-7 tractors NA-5 controls . Only use 1/16 flux core & 5/64 /3/32 sub arc dia wires . Keep it simple !!! John
Reply:My two fabication lines use about 50,000lbs of .052" wire a month.That's with 15 Kawasaki Robots and around 100 people running 3 shifts. We make them big yellow tractors though.
Reply:I use ~ 2 lbs of flux core a year. Campbell Hausfeld 80 Flux Core.Mastercraft AC-230 Buzz box.
