Reply:Typical, very typical. Im really saddened by this whole thing. Reputation of a product and company is earned...not automaticly given just because you exist. REAL manufacturers know this, and earn the reputation by the quality of their products, and their actions. Good or Bad. Coming to a community of fabricators, many of whom work in industry in the USA, with an imported machine.....expect flak. Offer the best product you can, stand behind it, hold your head up and take the abuse....that shows commitment and honesty. If you do this and you have a good product, it will be accepted. Play the game of censorship, and it breaks your integrity. The company I work for made some bad decisions, and sold some products that were not up to our normal quality. Our reputation got hurt. We stood tall, vowed to right the wrongs, admitted we had problems, and FIXED THEM. Was it painful to read chat rooms where people bashed you....you bet...but thats their choice. We didnt delete those threads....and eventually the problems of the past were forgotten. But then again...I work for a US manufacturing company.....a real manufacturing company. Not a warehouse waiting for the slowboat from china.

Reply:I don't think it is just about the Chinese machines. I had an avatar that showed Miller as my welding machine and was asked to remove it by a moderator because someone complained I was advertising ,lol. I have zero connection with Miller and was simply being creative showing what machine I use but I hurt someones feelings. I removed it at the moderators request.

Reply:It seems people get rusty a holes over the smallest things. You can't get upset if you deliver crap work and people call you on it. You can't get upset if you don't fix the crap work you originaly did and people call you on that. I say based on my LIMITED dealings it sounds like two family members squabbling and backstabbing each other thinking it helps sell product. I personaly would pay to access this site if we could just remove the everlast longevity forums all together...or at least remove the owners of said warehouses from moderating them.'Mike

Reply:Hey guys....I have read all these posts and the referenced posts.I can solve the problem. BUY LINCOLN. Call it a day. Who cares about those knockoff companies?? They will wither away and die. Nobody in their right mind is going to buy them. Buy a Miller and be happy too. Call it a day. These products have been tried and trued by us all. You know what you get. You know what to expect. You know not every unit will be perfect. Mine was, but that doesn't mean the next joe didn't get a bad Lincoln. Reply:Joker; Sorry but you missed the point entirely. Not everyone who wants to weld or buy welding equipment knows much about the field, the equipment, the companies or sometimes much of anything else either. This exercise wasn't for the good of most professionals here, it was for the REST!  who might benefit by fairplay.
