Need a ramp that would fold, and the lip has to be absolutely flush with the deck.  I don't want to push heavy stuff over a bump, too hard to push.Materials used:3/4 cold roll3/4 schedule 40It's not a precision hinge, so I didn't mess around with extruded tubing for the hinge barrel.  Not at around $13/footMilled the hinge pin to position it for the proper height, and also cut it back to make room for a weld.Pics are self explanatory. Reply:Included a weld for the closeup junkiesWent with 6013 because of the relatively thin walled pipe. Attached Images"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

Reply:You shoot pictures of your best welds and we're sitten here droolin over your mill.A butterfly without wings, is just an ugly bug
Reply:I would imagine the mill's about 10-15% ammortized(sp?) at this point, and I'm not talkin' depreciation, I'm talkin' what I would have to pay in machine shop rates.  It would be a lousy investment for someone who doesn't use it pretty regular.I've kept it a pretty strict rule not to buy anything that isn't really gonna see some use.I suppose I'm somewhere between a hobby guy, and a real honest to god shop.  It's kind of a grey area."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Pretty neat idea, Sam.  I'm jealous about the Mill also.  I bought a lathe from a school auction several years ago.  Got tired of running to a machine shop to have "bosses" (pin bushings) made for heavy equipment.  I'm like you, maybe only 5% paid back, but I don't have to do all that running.
Reply:Sittin' back with a fancy mill in the shop and you've got the nerve to say things about us guys with TIGs!   What's up with that?!NICE work btw and one of those MM252's Craig mentioned would let 'dial' right in for that pipe.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!

Reply:Farmersamm:What kind of mill do you have? Can you post some pictures of your setup. I'm considering the purchase of one and I'm having a hard time deciding which way to go.Got lots of small projects around the ranch that will really benefit from a mill.Sign on East Texas payphone: Calls to God 40 cents......it's a local call...
Reply:Nice job Sam - I thought for sure that a bean and mushroom cans welded together would have been utilized somewhere on this project. CharlieCharlie

Reply:Farmer,You have a nice setup there. I thought you didn't have a shop and did everything outside in the dirt. What is your shop, an old shipping container?IanMiller Syncrowave 200
