No, Chevy didn't manufacture extended cab trucks in 1937, but my friend and his dad did build one. The elder's birthday is coming up, so I was commissioned to fab this sculpture. Most measuring is done by the old eyeball, but I did take the wheel height and wheelbase to figure out a ballpark "scale" I think this was somewhere around 1:18. I even drew a little pic to help this timeThe set with all the pics is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/browndo...7615270540985/-Joshbrowndogwelding.com@welderassassinMy Blog on The Fabricatorfacebook.com/BrownDogWelding

Reply:That looks great, nice job. There is no doubt that it's a replica of your friends truck, his Dad should love it. I got to figure out how to do this stuff in less than the year and a half I've been working on mine for. Keep postin', I find your projects interesting. If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.

Reply:Thanks....connect the dots, I'm familiar with that:I originally wanted to do a series of these using 1:24 scale plastic models and blowing then up to 1:6, still might someday. Sorry for the hijack! If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
