Reply:Yeh, that's the ole garden hose to exhaust adapter. It's used for flushing mufflers.

Reply:looks like someone is trying to run his car indoors. if you stuck this thing onto a muffler, and hook up the long garden hose, and run the exhaust outside.i guess they could have just gotten long 4 inch dryer duct for that.
