This is a utility wagon I did some modifications on. I use this mostly for pulling my fishing and hunting equipment behind my four wheeler. I live about 2 miles from a large river, abundant with catfish, so this is really handy for packing everything in for a day fishing trip. The first thing I did was replace the small wheelbarrow type tires with some used lawn mower tires and wheels. I used a piece of 3/4 cold rolled for an axle and mounted pillow block bearings on each end. Ideally, 4 bearings should have been used, but the terrain I'm on is mostly mud and sand so the tires don't "scoot" too bad on turns. I made the tailgate more usable today by making it hinge down with secure latches on top. All the parts I used were misc. pieces I had - mostly bolts and some various bushings and spacers. I had to buy the 2 springs to hold the latches shut.Next post.

Reply:This is my fishing rod box. I break down my poles and this box keeps them from getting broken. Under the poles I have room for misc. items.I can't take a fishing trip without a good supply of beverages, so naturally a cooler is in order. Also lawn chairs are a necessity. The empty corner holds my tackle boxes. They are in my truck right now and I didn't feel like getting them out just for picture purposes. Just imagine 2 tackle boxes in the empty spot with room on top of them for a big stringer of fish! Last edited by Road Warrior; 04-15-2009 at 10:44 PM.
