Here's a couple of pics of my MRD (multipurpose repositioning device).  And, the I beam pick up gizzmo.  I made both years ago.  I had a job come in to remove a Holmes 750 wrecker body and install on another chassis.  Those old Holmes were actually 3 pieces on the frame.  The body, the booms/winches, and the tool boxes.  I rigged up the pickup up gizzmo in a hurry.  It picked up the complete boom assemblies and winches, outriggers, cables on winches, with no problem.  My forklift, the TCI 525.  4x4 was right at it's limit though.I modified the I beam scissors pickup gizzmo by adding 4- 1" round with points to pick up large logs for splitting.  I can still use it for I beams.I also have a 4' x 8' work platform for my forklift.  With the triple stage cylinder and 23' working height, it sure comes in handy.  I've hung lots of steel with that machine.  Not to mention doing tree work and painting around the farm. Reply:I have a very simmilar scissor device to pick up blue stone kerb.  The tops are longer for more clamp force as they are gripped from the side with rubber covered pads.  Will post a picture when i get back to work
