This is an cage that I made for my iguana. It is made of 1/4" aluminum round stock and 3/16" Aluminum plate, formed that i welded with a spool gun. The iguana heads were cut on a water jet. The bottom has a steel tray riveted to an Aluminum face with a handle welded on it that pulls out for easier cleaning. The cage stands 5'-4"x30"x36. I think it turmed out pretty good. Any comments would be great. Thank you. Attached ImagesGo hot, or go home!

Reply:Very nice work. Now for an off the wall ? Does your iquana have a name ?
Reply:I put the side together first, I used a 1"x1" sq. tubing as a spacer for tacking up the round stock. that way, I knew that each bar would be perfect. The hardest part was keeping the door square and flat while welding it. I really jumped around and took some time to control the heat input. And yes the iguana has a name, Agave. I love tequila! Thanks for the posts guys. This is a great site!Go hot, or go home!
Reply:Great job on the cage. There must be quite a bit of time in design and working out the kinks. Pretty lucky critter.I dont think a big bird in an aluminum cage would be a good idea... My friend breeds exotic birds and they damage steel cages all the time with just their beaks.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.

Reply:I actually only have about 16 hours into it. I kinda skipped the design process and jumped right into the build. I built it to burn up the last few days of school at Fox Valley Tech, before our year was up.Go hot, or go home!
