Candle holders

OK guys. Here is an old project that I did for my girlfriend at the time, she's now my wife. We saw some cool candle holders in a store that were about $30 a piece. She really liked them but there was no way in hell we were going to spend $180. I decided to make some for a birthday surprise. They're just 2" by 1/8th CRS from HD. I cut them in 6" increments, welded the shelf in the center and soldered picture hangers on the back. They also have a slight arc so the center bows out about 3/4" from the wall. The steel and hangers cost me about $15.00 and I think it was six years ago that I did them. I know it's a lame project for this place but I haven't had a chance to get my bluing tank stands welded up and I've been dying to post something.

Reply:That's a great project. By my count it saved $180 because there wasn't much money in materials and it turned out looking great.

Reply:Not lame at all.  I've paid paid for my newest welder by doing candle holders this summer.  I think yours are nicer than mine though.My best seller is a rusted, rustic cross.I use a 2 7/8 pipe cap welded inside the cross bars for the cup that holds the candle.OLD miller M-295  (AC)Century 230/140 ac/dcVictor torchNot much else but some cheap tools.
