I was just wondering if anyone could give me some settings for vertical up welding with a mig. For example on 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2

Reply:I've been using 17.5v 245ipm on 3/8 T-joint.I'll post pics, but does that sound about right?I use the weave technique with a pause on the side walls.

Reply:Lincoln Procedure handbook for acr welding. From lincoln website, Twenty Four Bucks!I do a whole bunch of up Tees welding 3/4 to 3/8. I use .045 wire @ 150 ipm, 18 to 19 volts with Co2.David Attached ImagesReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
