drew this up on a piece of paper. my dad liked it so much we built it for our house. our shop is in the back behind. its got an electric opener on it Attached Images
Reply:Wow.Just ... wow.Awesome work.  Those circles must have taken forever to bend and weld.  Is that wire mesh on the lower section of the gate and the top crown?

Reply:yeah thanks for the comments i just graduated high school and just started doing gates with my dad like 9 months ago. the i bought the rings threw a patons steel. and the mesh is on top as well. we used electric nibblers to cut it. worked pretty good

Reply:That's a very nice design.  I like the privacy screen for that application.Here's something I know nothing about: is that gas meter at the edge of the photos totally unprotected?  It seems like anyone could clip it with a bumper on their way in or out.  Like I say, maybe there's no danger at all -- the only time I ever think about gas meters is when the guy comes by to read it or we have an earthquake.  But those pictures make me think that a pair of concrete-filled poles would be a smart next project.  (Natural gas explosions suck.)

Reply:the mesh is made out of 22 gauge sheet metal with 1/8 inch holes in it. we got it from pattons as well.

Reply:yeah its on a track and it slides along the brick wall. and its motorized
