Seem many neat setups here.  Here's the one I made when I retired and sold my portable rig (truck).  I had a complete axle from an old boat trailer.  Cut the axle tube down, made the cart from 2" and 1" square tubing, and 1/4" plate.  Since I only have concrete in the shop and 15' out from the shop door, it really makes it easy to roll the cart over my stone driveway, IF the 100' of hose isn't long enough to reach the job. I'd like to have a couple more of those "old axles" as I have a couple more projects in mind.  Going to pay the salvage yards a visit. Attached Images
Reply:Use bolt on rear spindles from almost any of todays throw away cars.   The real trick tire & wheel is the donut spares about all cars have..   There should be loads of em out there.  I'd think once they make a junk yard they'd almost give those donut spare tires away.IF IT WORKS, DON'T FIX IT2 Lincoln CV-300 / LN-7 GMALinde-VI 253,400 & 450 w/MIG35 feedersCNC Table with Oxweld O/A & Hypertherm 1250G3Lincoln Ranger GXT 250Hobart-MicroWire 300ESAB Heliarc 161ESAB-Mobilemaster 2 CC/CV Feeders& more

Reply:Not being critical at all here.  But I have a question.  Nice cart, easy to roll, Why carry 100' of hose on it all the time?IF IT WORKS, DON'T FIX IT2 Lincoln CV-300 / LN-7 GMALinde-VI 253,400 & 450 w/MIG35 feedersCNC Table with Oxweld O/A & Hypertherm 1250G3Lincoln Ranger GXT 250Hobart-MicroWire 300ESAB Heliarc 161ESAB-Mobilemaster 2 CC/CV Feeders& more

Reply:Put a coupler on the cart and brakes on that axle and voila, instant trailer! City of L.A. Reply:car donuts work good.  I built a plasma cart at work with donuts and a handle on the back, casters on the front.  If I had to go off roading, I just tilted it back and used it like a two wheeler.  I tried to take it with me when I left cuz I got the same plasma at home, but they wouldn't let it out the door.  If you removed the plasma, it worked great for pushing each other around the shop.

Reply:Looks nice, nice work
Reply:Nice cart. When I bought my torch, the LWS wanted 170.00 for a Safe-T-Cart.  I played with the idea of building one.  Looking on CL, I found a cart from a construction company that was scaling back and bought it for $40.00  It was the same model I had previously priced at 170.00
