gas lens

What is the differance in the cheap gas lens and the higher price gas lens and is it enough to make a differance in the weld.  Never used a gas lens before so this is new territory to me, any advice is greatly appreciated

Reply:Sorry, i was talking about the filter lens. see learned something new already. Any differance in ceramic lens and lava lens, All i've every used is ceramic and hate to pay the high price for lava and it not be any betterLast edited by tensefan; 08-02-2007 at 09:20 PM.

Reply:I can't think of anything my cheapie gas lens wasn't able to do, so I can't see any justification on a higher priced version.
Reply:the pink (alumina) or gray (lava) part is the nozzle.the brass part is the gas lens, ain't no such thing as a 'filter lens'.lava nozzles are for high heat applications.tungestion must be what happens if you eat too many EWTh2%'s.
