I see in the USA the terms used for welding rods differ than those here in OZCan anyone tell me what the equivilent for rods like 6010, 6013, 7014 ETC.... is in australian terms ?
Reply:G'day Mate.First two numbers show the tensile strength of the weld filler metal.Basically when you seen these numbers an easy way to remember the Aus versions is:E60XX = E41XXE70XX = E49XXlast two numbers don't change as they describe the flux type and positions they can be used in.E6010 = E4110E6013 = E4113E7014 = E4914Anyone feel free to correct meSkinWeld Engineering. Reply:In Canada certified rod often has Canadian designation ( metric) and AWS designation. I have never seen Canadian Welding Bureau certified rod that had AWS numbers on it alone. |
