Small Welding Job ??

I'm not a welder hahah but a stay at home mom. My dining room chairs, purchased at Rooms to Go, have several areas that were welded, and seem to be breaking. I live in Charlotte, NC 28227.... can anyone fix them for me cheap? or suggest who I would contact? I have no clue.
Reply:Look in the Yellow Pages under Welding Services. Who ever does the work will have to look at what you have before giving you an answer on price. It will likely be cheaper on you if you take them to them to look at rather than have them come by for a look. Most would probably charge for thier time to make a 'House Call" for an estimate. You said "they seem to be breaking". Do they "seem" to be breaking or are they "actually" breaking? How heavy are the people using them, or are they somehow being abused beyond what they are intended for? Could be just cheap manufacturing techniques and/or materials.
Reply:You might need charity more than anything else.The age old problem does it cost more to fix than it is worth. How many are breaking????How much did they cost??? How much to you want to keep it???I might try this approach.Take them with you. Go to either a muffer shop or an auto body shop. See if they will do it low ball. If they have a free spot of time can happen. The key is to get the problem to somebody so they can just do it, not have to hassle with all the admin, time, travel, etc. Walk out to the car, eyeball, Yes or No.I would try that first, see the reaction. Maybe find the right guy. Be quicker to fix than me typing this. Don't give up if the first one sezs no.

Reply:Plus I would add. Get dressed nice in a sexy dress, smile a lot.Tell them to take the cash and buy pizza for the shop. It will happen for good money. Lot of places might like that type of break / opportunity. Breaks up the day. An off the books moment.
Reply:Have you contacted Rooms To Go and told them? There may be a warranty.
