Reply:Nicely built!  Once you've got the welder on it, post some more!
Reply:Well done.  Nice looking trailer.
Reply:Nice trailer!   Nice K5!  Is it an actual M1009?
Reply:That's a sharp looking trailer; don't be offended if I copy some of your ideas when I do my own
Reply:nice looking trailer. heavy duty indeed. what type paint did you use. im tired of useing spraypaintIf you like my stuff you can find me on Facebook.  https://www.facebook.com/theangryanv...ngryanvilforge
Reply:I like where you put the lights - nice and visible. Good job.Fire!, Fire! Oh wait, that's my torch...Lincoln PT-225 TIGLincoln 175 MIG
Reply:I like it... What is the "grab bar" on the back for??   Matthew
Reply:hey thanks, i use a ppg industrial epoxy paint. they usually dont carry it at automotive paint stores...
Reply:that bar is a step. that deck is pretty high
Reply:Doesn't look balanced, all weight gonna be on rear of tow rig.Why mesh for bottom?? Do you want all your gear covered in road grime and mud.I bet there are farmers here that wouldn't put a bale of hay on that to get towed over a wet highway. You must not think much of your tools
Reply:As long as he places the bob  cat properly, he can have whatever balance he wants. OR, as you know , he can always move the axel to another position . NO big deal , as long as he ENDS up with 10 or 15% weight on tongue . Its NOT like he's hauling a  SAE400 lincoln . I do agree ,however,  maybe he ought to cover that open mesh floor.[SIZE="5"Yardbird"
Reply:Looks good! One thing I noticed is the sideways license plate. Here in Florida they passed a law late last year targeting sideways mounted license plates on motorcycles. First offense gets you something like a $1000 fine. Not sure if it applies to cars, trucks and trailers though. It was real convenient how that law was passed just a couple months before 100,000 bikers showed up for bike week. We don't have a state income tax, so I guess the revenue has to come from somewhere. You might want to check your states law.Ooops. Got off subject. Did I mention the trailer looks great? Reply:Looks like a great trailer!  What are your plans for the 2 lengths of angle just before the axles on the bed? It's not what you can buy, it's what you can build.

Reply:You're probably right. On the other hand, Florida has no helmet law for motorcycles. Do you think I could get a ticket riding through a state that had a helmet law without one, if my bike is registered in Florida and I had a Florida drivers license? Food for thought.I actually like the grating on the floor of the trailer. It's a lot lighter than solid steel. I've built / owned many trailers with expanded metal floors and really never had much of a problem with dirt or mud getting kicked up through it. Plus it allows good drainage. Might help to keep the bottom of the welder from accumulating moisture / rust.Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC (Sold)Miller Dialarc 250HFMiller MM251Miller MM200 (Sold)Miller MM130Miller Spot WelderVictor O/A rigMiller Spoolmatic 1 (Sold)

Reply:Looks great. Very nice.
Reply:the axle is where it is cause thats where the weight is going to be. and the mesh is what i had. if the hay gets wet my horse will get over it in time. or better yet, can i get some plans for a fully enclosed welding trailer drawn exactly the way you would build it?

Reply:Those lights are just asking to be cracked off or beat up being where they are.Looks like it would work better tipped up on it's end and used for screening topsoil.

Reply:Looks great. Should be good to go with the mesh, or lay down rubber matting after you put the macine on.What goes around, comes around.
