stainless airboat rigging. project

heres some photos of the job ive been workin on with the guy next door. he bought a new motor and hull now we are building all new riggins in stainless everything including the motorstand seat package and cage. and let me also add we are hand laying 1/8th' stainless bar for the wire on the cage and under the seats and everything is being done with a tig. boat was rigged with conduit and set up for a caddy motor when he bought it

Reply:what motor is that.  don't know much much, well near nothing bout plane motors.  i was getting ready to save for an airboat then i moved to louisiana.  go devil country here.

Reply:the motor is a beefed up continental 520, and i have a pipe bender/roller thats how i did the back hoops, It is all 316 s.s. real hard stuff to bend.

Reply:Nice job on the cage and motor mount/seat frame.  That IO-520 continental is a good one,  I can't see if you are running the Bendix FI or carb?  What prop, constant speed or club?  I used to build airboats in Alaska (past life)  we had a Fibreglass hull that was sealed and could actually take a wave from the rivers and keep going.  Fun stuffA rich man is not the one who has the most but instead one who needs theleast.
