I have 40 over arms to make, not to complicated, these are for steel rack to hold round an square stock. 1.5" Square tubing 11 gauge (.0.120 wall) with a piece of CR 3/16" tab welded on the end. A bit tricky to clamp with the angle at the end. Here's the solution:Before the "Spatter Guard" goes over the threads to protect it from getting all messed up. With Guard:
Reply:Then just spray the exposed threads with welding goo. Or use Pam cooking oil. Reply:MarkBall2--thanks for the tip, didn't realize that good old Pam, stolen from SWMBO's kitchen would work for this sort of thing. I will spray the rest of the jig to insure that one little spatter ball doesn't turn 39 more of these into a soup sandwich. Thanks.
