Hello, all, got the hda-300 fired up and running well now-problem with the high freq was the fact that I forgot to take the stick lead off the welder! I tried welding with 2 percent thoriam without balling the tip and i like the results on alum. Even after 20 years it is starting to come together again with some acceptable looking welds,it is amazing how fast you start to remember things you once did. This forum has been an excellent resource for me and thanks to all that replied to my questions. Well off for more practice.... John
