Anyone ever weld cunifer? whats the best process? is it a lot like welding aluminum? is it a pain to work with? just want to find out what this stuff is like to work with
Reply:Hey Toby,Way back('93/'94), the shop I was working had a small job for special fittings that were cunifer. We used MIG, ER CuNi(ER CuNi30) with 90/10(ArH2) for both welding & purging with very good results. It machines decently. Been a while since I've run across anyone using cunifer, although I know it is used in the shipbuilding arena. You may want to post a query on the AWS forum for specific parameters if using code specs.DennyAddendum: Here's a site that has all the data on the filler that will give you composition :http://www.migweld.de/english/produc...-cuni30fe.htmlLast edited by yorkiepap; 11-15-2011 at 03:16 PM.Complete Welding/Machine/Fab.
