I was going though our digital camera, and found some pics of one of my first projects that I ever did for pay. I figured Id post em up and see what you guys think. Here we have the guts from what I was told was a rather expensive reclining chair. The owner was a customer of my dads at the time who had brought my dad some antique furniture that had needed repair (that was what my dad did for a living). This guy was a slightly large fellow and so would explain the nature of the breakage. He had seen my dads little SP100 sitting in the corner of the shop and asked him if he could possibly fix this. My dad, never being one to say no, also seemed to think that my Stickmate was the better choice and so gave me the chance to earn a little cash. I suppose the Lincoln would have been plenty adequate, but dad wanted to see what I could do. The first pic is with the first couple of zaps done so I could get some leverage without messing things up further. The second is after some finagling with a rather large crowbar to get the remaining fractures to realignAnd the others are of my spattered gobbledy gook that I know how to make 1/8" 6011 and it was nearly a year ago now so I dont even remember the amperage I used.Guy seemed happy when he received it, I think I only charged him $30 as it didnt seem like a huge deal to me, didnt take me very long, and I wasn't going to guarantee that it wasn't going to fracture somewhere else.
