I am tring to rig my 2500hd chevy up. I bought a lincoln vantage 300. I am wanting to build a skid to put my machine and bottles on so that i can take it in and out of my truck easily so that when I am not working my rig I can still have my regular truck bed. Any advise would be usefull . thank you
Reply:you got to think about what you want out of your skid. how do you want to take it out over head crane or fork lifted. i can use both. what you going to carry for bottles 1 or 2 oxy , acetylene maybe a argon if you tig. i just slid the oxy under my boxes. with a 2500 you really got watch your weight. i would use alum. make sure you can do thing like change your oil i just turned mine sideway. i built 3 now and you change them all the time to make the work better for you. heres some pics to help you thats all i cant think of telling you right now. if you have question ask its cheaper then rebuilting.
