I have a mig and a tig that I use often. Can I use the wire from the MIG as filler rod for the tig on smaller stuff? Just a thought that I had come to mind....Best Times with 434 Naturally Aspirated Vette60 - 1.261/8 - 6.37@ 107.25 MPH 1/4 - 10.08 & 134.9MPH1/4 - 9.60@144MPH

Reply:yes i heard if you clamp one side and put the other side in a drill and spin it, it will stay straight like a normal filler rod.
Reply:You can and I have done it at a pinch. As Wannaweld said clamp one side and put a few strands in a cordless. Its not as good as filler but will let you finish a job.Ive only done it with ally and it work OK but stray parts of the Mig wire want to melt at different times .A good guess is better than a bad measurement
Reply:The s6 wire tends to wet out a good bit more than the s2, which can make out of position work a bit tricky and tend to wash out a bit more. Aside from that, it will work just fine as mentioned.
